Methods for Data Science
Methods for Data Science is a foundation course in practical data judgement. It focuses on collecting useful data, organising and exploring it, interpreting visual evidence, and turning findings into action.
The course sits after Essential Digital Skills and before more code-focused Applied Python or Applied R pathways.
The four lessons cover data collection, organisation and exploration, interpretation and visualisation, and insight and impact. Programming experience is not required.
Start with the Course Overview and Learner Setup. Learners can use Additional Material, Reference, and Discussion to practise and review. Teaching teams should read the Instructor Notes, Instructor Additional Material, and Extra Exercises.
